The one-day phase of the Casey Cardinia Cricket Association lower grades continued over the weekend as teams look to secure results at the business end of the season.
Tooradin’s Shane Tongue continued his dominance with the bat in A Grade, posting an unbeaten 74 to back up his ton from last week.
Tongue now sits in second in the competition for total runs, just three shy of teammate Luke Adams.
Tongue’s innings, partnered with 67 from Aaron Avery, helped second place Tooradin take down third place Kooweerup by just 14 runs.
Half centuries from Trent Wheller and Ryan Little ensured Cardinia stayed on top of the table, as they grabbed victory over Pakenham.
A stylish 56 from CCCA President Ben Knowles wasn’t enough for Clyde as Cranbourne Meadows walked away 45 run victors.
At Tony Way Reserve, Zach Bates’ 52 steered Devon Meadows past 63 from Pawan Thind and Merinda Park.
B Grade saw a batting masterclass in the matchup of Clyde and Nar Nar Goon-Maryknoll.
Steven Russell brought up 79 for the Cougars, which was supported by a half century from Michael Warner, but they were both outshined by a wonderful 93 not out from Madhu Gedara, which ultimately lifted Nar Nar Goon-Maryknoll over the line.

Andrew Myers notched 58 in Carlisle Park’s win against Pakenham Upper Toomuc.
Two unbeaten half centuries from Peter O’Brien and Jason Brzezowski saw Devon Meadows coast to take down Pakenham, in the 500th game for Panthers legend Lincoln Hepburn..
