No excuses for poor golf at Lang Lang

LANG LANG GOLF

As usual on grand final day the sun was beaming and there was no wind; meaning there were no good excuses for poor golf at Lang Lang.

Paul De Pasquale (11) showed the Swans how it was supposed to be done shooting 76 off the stick and having 41 points to win Division 1.

Paul Christensen (15) won Division 2 with 37 points and Peter Gulliver (25) took out Division 3 with 35 points on a countback.

A score of 32 points got a ball down the line and nearest the pins went to L Burgess 3rd, P O’Connor and I Stewart 5th, B Batt 9th, T Condy 12th and L Barker 15th.

Tuesday Results

The course was in terrific condition and so was our president Alan Courtney’s (12) golf game, taking out Division 1 with a great score of +2.

Peter Gajanovic (19) played solid to win Division 2 with +1.

A score of -1 got a ball down the line and nearest the pins went to C Clarke 5th, R Hendrich 9th, S Bray 12th and D Gude 15th.

Thursday Results

Scores were easy to come by on Thursday and Chris Clark (16) held on all day to take out Division 1 with 39 points.

Score of the day went to Rod Walker (26) with 40 points to take out Division 2.

A score of 33 points got a ball down the line and nearest the pins went to R Walker 5th, S Bray 9th, R Volk 12th and J Ingram 15th.

Friday Results

Friday being a public holiday, and a perfect day for golf, we saw 58 players play in the competition. There were some fantastic scores with Dick Cousins (16) having 39 points, with a unlucky wipe up the last, to win Division 1 and Lindsay Knowles (20) taking out Division 2 with a round-of-the-day 42 points.

A handicap score of 36 points had to be shot to collect a ball and nearest the pins went to S Jones 5th, B Paynter 9th, S Jacobsen 12th and J Robinson 15th.

This week competitions are Thursday – Stableford/2BBB, Saturday – Monthly Medal Stroke and Sunday – Stableford.
