Hole-in-one highlight for Hock

LANG LANG GOLF

It was a busy week at Lang Lang Golf Club with players braving windy and tricky conditions to card some impressive scores; while Nick Hock had a career highlight with a first-ever hole in one.

Tuesday Stableford

Tuesday saw members from around South Gippsland join our competition and Chris Sanderson (17) from Phillip Island played a solid round to get the win in Division 1 with 35 points.

Best score went to Richard Oldham (22) with 39 points to take out Division 2.

A score of 32 points was good enough to get a ball down the line.

Nearest the pins went to D Gude 5th, M Roberts 9th, W Kennedy 12th and D Winfield 15th.

Wednesday – Stroke

With the sun back out the ladies played their Monthly Medal and Betty Robertson (43) won her first medal with a score of 80 nett and Russ Swan (19) played stress-free and won the open competition with 71 nett.

Thursday Stableford/2BBB

Thursday saw Nick Dehey (16) have a day out with 40 points and 46 points with partner Steve Fuller to take out the Stableford and 2BBB events for the day.

But that wasn’t the most exciting part with Nick Hock hitting the perfect shot on the 15th and securing his first hole in one.

A score of 34 points won a ball down the line and the other nearest the pins went to S Fuller 5th, M Robinson 9th and A Jones 12th.

Saturday Monthly Medal Stroke

Best gross was Dale Gude with 75; doing what he does best and hitting fairways and greens.
