LANG LANG GOLF
It was a huge day at Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday with the opening round of the 2023 Club Championships taking place and the November Monthly Medal also going up for grabs.
Richard Briggs and Rena Casey were the big winners on the day; leading the Men’s and Women’s Club Championships after round one and claiming medal honours as well.
Briggs and Casey were the best of a fantastic field of 186 players that teed it up for round one.
The leaderboards after round one is as follows:
Men’s A Grade
Richard Briggs 73, Darren Rooke 76, Casual Walker 78, Levi Maxwell 78, Wayne Kennedy 79 and Bart McDonald 79.
Ladies A/B Grade
Rena Casey 83, Jennifer Sullivan 90, Nicole Ellen 98, Megan Barker 106, Jennifer Boyd 107 and Maria Warburton 107.
Men’s B Grade
Josh Rietman 83, Rick Falcone 87, Will Mirtschin 87, Joe Kelly 88, Brendan Clarke 89 and Nav Pillai 89.
Men’s C Grade
Kevin Curtis 93, Les Rand 94, Noel Marsland 94, Timothy Miller 95 and Steven Walsh 96.
It was great to see so many players participating on Saturday and we saw some fantastic scores from the top runners.
Looking forward to the next two weeks, the competition looks to be a close one so far.
