Adderley and Conroy qualify at Lang Lang

A great field of 160 players headed to the Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday for a stableford event and a qualifying round for the RD Hall Matchplay.

A Board event, the RD Hall Matchplay is a coveted prize at Lang Lang and congratulations go to Phil Conroy and Mitchell Adderley, who defeated James Watts and Nick Dryden 4/3 in the qualifying round held on Saturday.

In the individual stableford event, the Division 1 winner was Peter Campbell with 38 points, one-shot clear of Kerrie Davey who was runner up via a countback.

Third place went to Chris Tuckwell.

In Division 2 the winner was Michael Gee with a best-of-the-day 40 points, two shots better than David O’Donnell with Shane Sparks back in third with 37 points.

In Division 3, Kimberly Pellatt took the win with 38 points via countback from Fia Tootoo, with Kevin Curtis filling third place with 37 points.

Ball rundown to 33 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th David Marotta, 9th Luke Sparks, 12th Rena Casey and 15th Heather Payne.

Closest second shots on the third went to David Barrie (Div 1) and Cheryl Stockdale (Div 2).

• Tuesday Stableford

The winner was Philip Mott with 37 points from runner up Mike Sullivan on 36 points.

Ball rundown went to 34 points and nearest the pins went to 5th Paul Moore, 9th Darren Grayson, 12th Ian Farrer and 15th John Johnson.

• Wednesday Ladies Stableford

The winner was Kerrie Davey with 34 points from runner up Di Fraser with 29 points.

Ball rundown went to 24 points and nearest the pin on the 12th went to Heather Payne.

• Thursday Stableford/2BBB Competition – 82 players

The stableford winner was Roger Parker with 39 points via countback to John Johnson.

Ball rundown to 34 points.

2BBB Winners: Laurie Burgess and John Johnson with 47 points.

2BBB Runners Up: Jason Herbert and Frankie Chiu with 43 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th David Chadwick, 9th Michael Herman, 12th Tony Ambrus and 15th John Johnson.

Congratulation to all winners this week.

The club’s usual competitions will be held during the week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Midweek Medal) and the July Monthly Medal will be played on Saturday.
