Scoring heats up at Lang Lang

Cold and wintry conditions could not stop a strong field from assembling for a stableford competition at Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday.

A score of 42 points was the best score in for the day, with two players achieving that milestone.

The division one winner was Tony Ambrus with 39 points by countback to runner up Taylor Rae.

Third place went to Jennifer Sullivan with 38 points.

Steve Johnson won division two with 42 points, five shots clear of runner up Mitchell Adderley with 37 points by countback to third place Daniel Johnson, also with 37 points.

Lee Andrews scored 42 points to win division three, from runner up Andrew McMenamin with 41 points and third-placed Dave Oswald with 39 points.

Ball rundown to 35 points.

• Tuesday Stableford Comp

Alan Courtney was the Division 1 winner with a score of 38 points, from runner up was Nick Dryden with 37 points.

Division 2 was won by Ian Murray with 40 points, from runner up Mark Ando with 38 points.

Ball rundown to 36 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Alan Courtney, 9th Mike Sullivan, 12th John Johnson and 15th Robbie Maskiell.

• Wednesday Ladies Par Competition

The winner was Rena Casey with a score of +4 and runner up was Leah Barker with a score of +3.

Ball rundown to +1 and nearest the pins went to Cheryl Stockdale on the 9th and 12th.

• Thursday Midweek Stableford Monthly Medal

The Division 1 winner was Warren Krahe with 41 points from runner up Nik Hock with 39 points.

The Division 2 winner was Steve Clark with 44 points from runner up Noel Zunneberg with 39 points.

Ball rundown to 35 points and nearest the pins went to 5th Stephen Rawlings, 9th Laurie Burgess, 12th David Wylie and 15th Michael Herman.

Saturday will be our June Monthly Medal stroke round and the usual competitions will be running on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
