LANG LANG GOLF
It’s not very often at a local golf club that a player gets photographed hitting golf’s holy grail…a hole-in-one.
But it happened to Lang Lang Golf Club member Daniel Huysmans on Saturday, who has several witnesses and photographic evidence of his amazing shot to add to his bragging rights.
Congratulations Daniel on your hole-in-one on the fifth hole at Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday.
While no-one matched the thrill and exhilaration of Daniel’s shot on the weekend, there was still some fantastic golf played with some great scores being carded in the ideal conditions.
• Saturday Stableford Comp
The Division 1 winner was David Barrie with 42 points, from runner Up Frankie Chiu with 41 points. Third placegetter was Richard Briggs with 40 points.
Terry Davis also had a day out in Division 2, scoring 41 points to win by one shot from runner up Brendan Boyd with 40 points.
Will Mirtschin finished in third place on 40 points via a countback.
The Division 3 winner Paul Hardy with a massive score of 48 points, which would have been the weekly highlight if not for Huysmans’ fine work.
Runner up was Riley Davie with 44 points and third place went to Craig Mirtschin with 40 points.
Ball rundown to 36 points.
• Tuesday Stableford Comp
The Division 1 winner was George Morozoff with 38 points, from runner up Alex Doria with 37 points.
The Division 2 winner was Ralph Stewart with 37 points by countback to runner up Douglas Collins.
Ball rundown to 35 points.
Nearest the pins went to 5th Simon Vigilante, 9th Alex Doria, 12th Toby Vojkovic and 15th George Morozoff.
• Wednesday – Ladies Doris Chambers Foursomes Stableford Comp
Winners were Lee Andrews and Kerrie Davey with a score of 37 points, via countback to runners up Carolyn Cripps and Di Fraser. Ball rundown went to 36 points.
• Thursday Stableford Comp
Division 1 winner was Colin Crowle with 43 points, and runner up with 41 points was Rob Volk.
Division 2 winner was Andrew Stirling with 41 points, and runner up was Peter Colgan with 37 points. Ball rundown to 36 points.
Nearest the pins went to 5th Waz Cripps, 9th Wayne Thomas, 12th Bill Merrigan and 15th Daryl Barker.
