Members of the South West Gippsland Midweek bowling group headed to Corinella last week for another sensational day of bowls.
It was a great day, with fantastic weather, great friends and a magnificent turnout as 31 of the bowling family congregated at Corinella to once again fight it out for the title of best team of the day.
There was some really excellent bowling with some very close matches.
The greens were in tip-top condition which always helps make it a good day.
The sounds of laughter could be heard across the greens but, as always, the cream rises to the top and this week was a very tight tussle.
The weekly winners on 34 points were Mark Andreatta (S), Ethel Van Maanen (3), Chris Brooks (2) and Shirley Corcoran (L).
Runners up on 33 points were John Nicholson (S), Sue Stansfield (3) and Ruth Waring (L).
Best One Game winners, with 21 points, were Tony Heppleston (S), Phil Wright (3), Michael Saunders (2) and Michael Waring (L).
Phil did a great job of opening up, setting up and bar and kitchen duties.
We really appreciate all the work you do Phil.
Also, thank you once again to Peter, Pauline and John for the magnificent work they do.
Next week we will be at San Remo at 10am for a 10:30 start.
