Saturday saw the March Monthly Medal and the 2022 Medal of Medallists played at Lang Lang with a pretty good day of weather presented for the field of 160 competitors.

Congratulations to Michael Foote and Rena Casey for taking out the Medal of Medallists for 2022, and to Tony Ambrus and Betty Williamson for winning the March Medals.

Reminder to members and guests to save the date for the next Social Night on Friday 17 March, with another $250 shootout on the ninth hole.

It is the first round of AFL and the Pies v Geelong game will be playing on the big screen.

Tee times are from 3pm till 5.30pm, so be sure to book your spots ASAP via the clubhouse.

If you just want to come down for a meal, they are available for $20…but bookings are essential.

Weekly Results

• Tuesday – Stableford

Division 1 winner was Peter Sellers with 41 points, from runner up Paul Moore with 40 points.

Division 2 winner was Simon Vigilante with 45 points, from runner up Rod Robertson with 39 points.

Ball rundown to 35 points and nearest the pins went to 5th Gary Jollands, 9th Andre Van Gent, 12th Michael Fahey and 15th Kevin Cresp.

• Wednesday Ladies – Monthly Medal/2022 Medal of Medallists

The winner of the March Medal was Sue O’Connor with 72 points nett, while runner up Leah Barker came in with 73 points nett. The Medal of Medallists winner was Chris Caig and ball rundown went to 79 points.

• Thursday – Henry Hatch Par 4BBB Board Event

Winners were Bradley and Simon Vigilante with a score of 11. Runners up were Brian Tollkuhn and Frankie Chiu with a score of 10.

Ball rundown went to six and nearest the pins went to 5th Daryl Barker, 9th Dale Gude, 12th Mark Weeding and 15th Dale Gude.

• Saturday Monthly Medal/Medal of Medallists

A Grade: The winner was Tony Ambrus with nett 64, from runner up JJ Jenkins with nett 67 by countback to third placegetter Tony Andrews.

B Grade: Bill Lucas was the winner with nett 67, from runner up Noel Welsh with nett 68 and Derek Page was third with nett 69.

C Grade: The winner was Tyler Doran with nett 65, two clear of runner up John Adams with nett 67 and third placegetter was Peter Barber. Ball rundown to nett 72.
