San Remo the scene for a wonderful day of bowls

After the most recent round at Kooweerup, 23 south east bowlers met at San Remo to once again fight it out for the Team of the Week.

As usual there was plenty of laughter and friendly banter.

The weather was in the mid 20’s, but the wind was quite cool which forced many to protect themselves with coats.

It was good to see Peter Gratton back from his extended holiday around the wonderful country that is Australia.

It was also good to see Lindsay drop in after his stint in hospital; hopefully he will be back playing very soon.

There was only one two game winner – not too surprising with the wind blowing all day – but it was still a fun day for all.

Winners today on a score of 36 were:

Michael Dady (S), Terry Floyd (3), Peter Taylor (L)

Runners-Up on 23 points were:

Mark Andreatta (S), Rob Jeffrey (3), Pauline McWilliams (2), Tony Morris (L)

Best One Game winners on 20 points were:

Peter Gratton (S), Laurie Bell (3), Peter McWilliams (2), Bob Arnold (L)

Gwen did a fantastic job in the kitchen and San Remo Bowls Club have also completed a terrific effort to maintain the state of the green.

Next week will be at Kooweerup, with a 10:00am site requested for players wishing to take part in the 10:30am start.
