He isn’t battling

Former Beaconsfield star Nick Battle is lighting it up for new club Devon Meadows.

The dashing left-footer was instrumental in the Panthers big win over Hastings last weekend, producing an almighty stat sheet to boot.

Battle collected 39 disposals with a whopping 17 clearances in the Panthers 15.15 (105) to 6.8 (44) win over the Blues.

Before last season was cut short, Battle was a clear leader in the Star News Group AFL Outer East coaches votes.

He had collected votes in each of the matches played and averaged 2.5 votes – out of a possible five – from opposition coaches.

Battle joined Devon Meadows from Beaconsfield at the beginning of 2022, alongside former Beaconsfield names Brandon White and now senior coach Ryan Hendy.
