Casey-South Melbourne have booked itself a home preliminary final, after one of the clubs greatest victories on Saturday.
The Swans caused a huge boilover at the CitiPower Centre, defeating a St Kilda side that had suffered just one loss for the summer heading in.
Casey-South Melbourne lost gun opener Ashley Chandrasinghe in the warm up due to a finger injury, but with the clinic the bowlers put on in the first innings, Chandrasinghe’s absence wasn’t felt.
The Swans bowlers – particularly Nathan Lambden and Jackson Fry – strangled the Saints, restricting them to 10/116.
The visitors did it the hard way in the end, chasing it down with two wickets and 13 balls to spare.
The Swans will now host a preliminary final against the winner of Melbourne and Richmond next Saturday.
