Spray-booth blaze at Cranbourne West warehouse

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident at 12.20pm on Furlong Street, Cranbourne West, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a warehouse fire.

FRV firefighters, assisted by CFA, arrived on scene to find a fire inside the spray booth of a factory.

Crews extinguished the blaze, with the incident deemed Under Control at 12.46pm.

One worker was assessed by Ambulance Victoria.

Victoria Police was also on scene.

The fire mainly burned the rear wall of the factory, as shown by the burn marks. The burning

Star News was told by the workers that the fire was put out “really quickly”. About 8 to 10 workers were waiting outside the factory, drinking water when Star News arrived. Three fire trucks were seen.

A worker from the nearby factory said the fire was “reasonable”.
