Cranbourne West students speak up against bullying

Quarters Primary School in Cranbourne West stood with schools across Australia to say NO to bullying and violence during the Anti-Bully Week.

The 2025 theme is Be Bold. Be Kind. Speak Up.

A school’s spokesperson said their learners took part in a variety of activities to raise awareness about being an upstander and taking action when something doesn’t feel right.

“One of the highlights was an incursion by Brainstorm Productions called Being Brave. This fun and engaging performance had our students laughing, participating, and learning,” they said.

“The interactive show reminded us that bravery isn’t about having no fear—it’s about choosing to act even when we feel afraid. Learners connected with the high-energy performance, the relatable characters, and the powerful life lessons.

“They also took part in follow-up discussions to build on these messages. Each year level created their own displays through social and emotional learning sessions, celebrating kindness, courage, and the importance of speaking up.

“We are so proud of our learners for embracing these values and showing that together. We can create a safe, respectful, and caring community at our school.”
