Cranbourne Casey Men’s Shed receives new funding

Cranbourne Casey Men’s Shed will receive $16k as part of the State Government’s latest round of the Men’s Shed Funding Program.

The funding will be used to replace the community organisation’s dust extractor.

President John Cain said they were so appreciative of these grants.

“It will enable us to purchase and install a high-quality new dust extractor system providing a much more efficient, safer, and healthier workshop for shed members and clients from Blairlogie Living Learning who share the facility and participate in woodwork classes,” he said.

“We are grateful and thank our local MP Jordan Crugnale and the government for their support to help us improve the health and well-being of our members and other users.”

Bass MP Jordan Crugnale said the shed provided such a welcoming place and space for community members in the local and surrounding area to connect, share experiences, learn new skills, pursue their artistry, and improve their well-being.

“They established ten years ago with six members and since have grown to over 30,” she said.

“It was such a delight to join them for lunch and tour the workshop and activities room and I want to thank president John Cain, grants writer Rob Adams, and the Committee for being so active and driven to pursue grant opportunities all to ensure their members are supported and also have a safe workplace and practice.”
