Celebrations for major works

Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) hosted a community thank you event to celebrate the completion of major works on the Hall Road Upgrade, achieved in February.

The free event at Wat Mornirangsi featured live musical and cultural performances, face-painting, a six-metre slide, the MRPV digger and building blocks, and a roaming magician.

The event also enjoyed a visit from the elusive and ever busy Easter Bunny, as well as other esteemed guests in the Member for Carrum Sonya Kilkenny and Member for Cranbourne Pauline Richards, who joined in on celebrations for the works, which finished nine months ahead of the scheduled completion date.

The upgrade achieved an extra lane in each direction between McCormicks Road and Western Port Highway, as well as new intersections at McCormicks Road, Taylors Road, Western Port Highway, Evans Road and Cranbourne-Frankston Road.

New walking and cycling paths were also added along Hall Road between McCormicks Road and Western Port Highway, along with centre median and kerb-side safety barriers between McCormicks Road and Western Port Highway.

The community event was a great way to sign off the Hall Road Upgrade, while highlighting and thanking the efforts of local traders and the community whose patience and understanding throughout the project made the upgrades possible.
