Clyde local caught for drunk driving

A 28-year-old woman from Clyde will face court next year after allegedly being caught drink driving in Burnley on Saturday morning.

Police intercepted the woman as she was driving along the Monash Freeway about 4.30am after being detected at an alleged speed of 110km/h in a 80km/h zone.

The 28-year-old then accompanied police for an evidentiary test and returned an alleged reading of 0.172.

She is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and traffic offences and has had her car impounded with towing costs of $932.
