The City of Casey is thrilled to unveil the 2024-25 Creative and Cultural Development Fund, an initiative aimed at fostering artistic expression, enriching the community, and supporting local artists and organisations.
This grants program aims to promote cultural inclusivity, elevate community stories, and support accessible arts initiatives that enhance the health and wellbeing of Casey residents.
The fund welcomes applications from arts organisations, community arts groups, and professional artists and arts practitioners.
Both local and non-local entities with a desire to contribute to Casey’s cultural vibrancy are encouraged to apply.
Eligible applicants must prioritise arts activities in their mission, offer or intend to offer arts activities within Casey for the benefit of the community, and be open and accessible to Casey residents.
The fund provides support ranging from $3000 to $10,000 per year for two years, covering a wide range of art forms, including but not limited to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural practice, community arts and cultural development, dance, literature, music, visual art, screen and film, and digital arts. Projects or initiatives that improve existing programs, offer new creative opportunities, and enhance the professional development of local artists are all eligible for funding.
City of Casey chair of administrators, Noelene Duff PSM commented that the 2024-25 Creative and Cultural Development Fund represents a remarkable opportunity for artists, organisations, and communities to come together in celebration of Casey’s vibrant culture.
“The arts have the unique ability to bring communities together, offering a platform for cultural expression and connection,” Ms Duff said.
