Hampton Park house in flames

Emergency services were called to a Hampton Park home around 5am this morning after the house caught fire.

The Plateau Crescent home was “fully alight” by the time CFA and FRV crews reached the scene.

No one was inside at the time.

The fire was brought under control within the hour and was declared safe just after 6am.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is expected to be determined by CFA investigators and police.

Police officers also attended the scene, and while investigations are ongoing, the incident has been deemed suspicious.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online to www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
