Witness appeal for armed carjacking

Police are appealing for public assistance to find three people following a carjacking in Cranbourne East on 23 May.

Investigators have been told a taxi driver picked up three male passengers on Barnby Grove just before 5am.

The males, armed with a knife, threatened the driver and made him get out of the car.

The offenders then drove away in the stolen taxi, which was later found dumped on Bruin Street in Clyde.

The 38-year-old driver was not physically injured, and no arrests have been made at this stage.

Police have released CCTV footage of three men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
