Driving youth services

The City of Casey 360 Youth Bus is back.

Young people aged 10-25 years of age can take advantage of the range of free information and entertainment the bus houses.

Alongside important knowledge for today’s youth, the bus is also home to a plethora of games.

There are 5 PS4’s, a Nintendo Switch, iPads, board games, card games and sporting equipment ready for use.

There are also 7 LCD TV screens to use for entertainment.

Two youth workers are available to assist with any queries from local young people.

The bus will be open between 3pm-5pm on Thursday 18 May, Thursday 8 June and Friday 16 June.

Carol Mislicki, Acting Manager Child Youth and Family says the Casey 360 bus “is a fun and safe space for young people to connect with their peers and qualified youth workers”.

“With one of the largest youth populations in the state, the City of Casey recognises the need to provide accessible and engaging services to its young people and its mobile youth information centre, the Casey 360, is an important part of how we fulfil this community need,” she said.

“Equipped with educational resources, information about health and wellbeing, employment, and referrals to support services, the Casey 360 offers an exciting and engaging entry point into youth services for young people unable to access our other centres.

“The Casey 360 travels all over Casey, visiting schools, skateparks, and reserves.

“Young people can keep an eye on our social media platforms to find out when we will be in their area.”
