Berwick hit-and-run

A pedestrian has suffered a severe leg injury during a hit-and-run.

Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol are investigating the incident, which occurred 14 February at 5am.

A pedestrian walked out on to the road at the intersection of Clyde Road and Bermersyde Drive in Berwick, and was struck by what is to be believed to be a White Toyota Hilux travelling North bound on Clyde Road.

The vehicle swerved to avoid the pedestrian but struck him causing a severe leg injury.

The vehicle continued north on Clyde Road and failed to assist the victim.

The pedestrian was transported to the Alfred hospital in a critical but stable condition.
