Police brief: Carjacking provides rude awakening in Cranbourne

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a carjacking in Cranbourne East in the early hours of Saturday morning, 19 November.

Police have been told a man was asleep inside his white Mazda sedan on Marrone Boulevard when he was approached by an unknown man about 2am.

A physical altercation occurred, and a 27-year-old man was stabbed a number of times.

The offender then fled the scene in the victim’s Mazda.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses.
