Roadside parking at the Cranbourne Noodle House was taken to a new level on Wednesday afternoon when a driver crashed into the High street shopfront.

Police say the driver travelling southbound collided with a truck moving in the same direction, while attempting to change lanes, and lost control of the Suzuki swift as a result, crossing the footpath and coming to a stop at the shopfront at around 3pm.

Thankfully there were no customers in the restaurant at the time of the incident, according to a staff member, who was out the back of the shop at the time of the incident.

“I didn’t see anything, I just heard the bang and came out,” the staff member said.

They said business was unaffected by the crash as they continued to operate the next day, Thursday 2 June.

Paramedics were called to the incident but no one required treatment or transportation, Ambulance Victoria said.

Firefighters from Fire Rescue Victoria worked quickly to make the scene safe, with the incident declared under control at 3:29 pm, an FRV spokesperson said.
