$750,000 has been raised for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision through a No Reserve Charity House and Land Auction in Clyde North on Saturday 26 March.

Fairhaven homes donated a brand new fully furnished four-bedroom, three-bathroom home on Athenaeum Avenue in the Orana Estate, with the land donated by the Balcon Group.

Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision (MRV) is a charity organisation formed by the Riewoldt family, endeavouring to find a cure for Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes (BMFS) through medical research.

MRV is named after former St Kilda Football Club captain Nick Riewoldt’s sister, Maddie, who passed-away due to complications of a BMFS called Aplastic Anaemia in February 2015, aged 26, after a five-year battle with the condition.

Mr Riewoldt said he was overwhelmed by the support of those involved.

“You are continually blown away by the generosity of others when you work in the non-for-profit space and today is no exception, the generosity of Fairhaven and Balcon to donate this beautiful house and land package is absolutely incredible.”
