Business On Track Australia’s decision to pool their marketing talents and know-how with other businesses has seen them awarded the Best New Product or Service award at the Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Love Your Local’ business awards on Thursday 24 March.
Early in 2021 Business On Track Australia decided to collaborate with social media experts, search engine optimisation gurus and videographers to offer a complete marketing package to their clients under one roof.
Sanjaya De Zoysa, Director at Business On Track Australia, said the win would serve as a boost for him and his partners.
“It has been a great pleasure receiving this wonderful recognition as it means the world to our team, their families and our stakeholders,” Mr De Zoysa said.
“We’ve been doing this for a while and recently we’ve been running out of energy but this has pumped us up.
“It is a sign that we are making inroads and it is what the doctor ordered to push us even further.”
The innovation came as a result of economic pressures presented by covid-19.
“When we were going through the pandemic we wanted to cross-promote and increase our data-base to still get customers,” Mr De Zoysa said.
“The best way to do that was to collaborate with other service providers.
“We help each other with cross promoting our products and services.”
Aware of the risk of beginning the collaboration during the pandemic, Business On Track took no risks in preparing their grouped service for launch, testing their idea on current clients before pitching to new clients.
The success of their venture allowed them to hire new staff members, something that Mr De Zoysa took great pride in when reflecting on the year that was.
He has encouraged other businesses to shift their mindset from ‘survival’ to ‘scale-up’, despite economic forces such as cost of living and petrol prices putting pressure on everyone’s bottom line.
“Businesses are going through difficult times but if you consider the things you can control, you can leverage that and scale-up your business.”
