Car impounded for driving 169km/h

A 41-year-old Langwarrin man had his car impounded after driving at alleged speeds of 169km/h in Hallam.

Cardinia Highway Patrol officers said while conducting speed detections they spotted a Nissan Coupe driving 69km/h over the speed limit.

The car was intercepted by police and impounded at a cost $1038.

The driver will attend Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
