Man charged over Hampton Park fire

Police have charged a 38-year-old Hampton Park man following a fire in Hampton Park.

Emergency services were called to an address in Nilufa Court about 6.45am after reports a house was on fire on Friday 8 October.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze and the fire was deemed suspicious.

Investigators arrested the 38-year-old that same day.

He has been charged with criminal damage by fire, criminal damage, stalking, make threats to kill and assault and was set to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 9 October.
