Store’s win after rollercoaster year

The best Priceline store in Australia is right here in Cranbourne!

The Thompson Parkway Priceline has taken out the top honour of Priceline Pharmacy Store of the Year, beating more than 470 competitors.

Thompson Parkway was recognised at Priceline Pharmacy’s awards night, held virtually on Wednesday 15 September.

The night featured Priceline ambassador Chrissie Swan as MC and a live performance from Samantha Jade.

The Store of the Year award recognises Priceline Pharmacy Thompson Parkway’s exceptional standard of customer service, including its support for Priceline’s charity program the Priceline Sisterhood Foundation.

Nestled in busy Thompson Parkway Shopping Centre, the team has been run off their feet during the Covid-19 pandemic.

To best help customers, they introduced home delivery at the height of lockdown and are now giving out Covid vaccinations too.

Franchise partner Michelle Christopher said the past 18 months have been a “rollercoaster” for staff and customers.

“We’ve lived and breathed the waves of how everyone has been coping in Melbourne; it started with supplying the essentials at the beginning of the pandemic, such as hand sanitiser, masks, vitamins and thermometers.

“Then needs changed to hair colour, nail polish and remover, clippers, scales and comfort purchases of fragrance, wheat bags and Cosy Cuddlers!

“One thing that consistently shone through was that we are relied upon as a community hub,” she said.

She said the Store of the Year award is a recognition of the efforts of her team during a time of high pressure.

“We’ve been proud to put our uniforms on every day and keep coming to work through the marathon lockdowns and restrictions that we have all gone through together,” Ms Christopher said.

“It has been a challenging time that we’ll never forget and being awarded Store of the Year means a great deal to us.”

Asked what the store does differently, Ms Christopher said Thompson Parkway Priceline has a “happy team”, with staff working towards the common goal of “assisting our customers with the best service and health advice”.

She and retail manager Sharon Whitehead have set in motion other goals too, including a continued focus on training and development.

“We also aim to continue to help guide our customers to be in their best health and to look and feel great,” Ms Christopher said.

As well as Store of the Year, retail manager Sharon Whitehead was awarded Retail Manager of the Year for Victoria in another moment of glory for the Thompson Parkway team.
