Local communities are invited to have their say on the concept plans for new playgrounds planned to be built at three recreation reserves currently under construction in Clyde, Cranbourne West and Botanic Ridge.
The playgrounds will be located at:
Clyde Recreation Reserve, Clyde-Five Way Road, in Clyde
Lochaven Recreation Reserve, Killearn Avenue, Cranbourne West
Botanic Ridge Recreation Reserve, Browns Road, Botanic Ridge.
Concept plans have been created for each playground with features such as swings, play structures, climbing walls, bridges and nature play elements.
There are also plans for seating, connecting the space to the adjoining sports ovals, and landscaping that not only provides valuable shade but also supports local biodiversity and fauna.
City of Casey chair of administrators Noelene Duff encouraged local residents to view the plans and take the opportunity to provide feedback on elements they would like to see and how the playgrounds could work best for them.
“This is the chance for our residents who will use these playgrounds to tell us what they think about the concept plans and the type of features they would like to see in their local parks,” Ms Duff said.
Consultation closes on Sunday 17 October. To view the plans and have your say, visit the Casey Conversations website.
