Two dead after Devon Meadows crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after two people died in a fatal collision in Devon Meadows.

It is believed a car was performing a u-turn on the South Gippsland Highway when it was involved in a collision with a vehicle travelling southbound about 1.25pm on Friday 17 September.

Both occupants of the first vehicle, who are yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

A section of the South Gippsland Highway is expected to be closed for some time while detectives examine the scene.
