Police investigate Clyde North assault

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in his car in Clyde North.

The incident occurred on Thursday 26 August after a verbal altercation took place between two drivers at the intersection of Berwick Cranbourne Road and Hamersley Drive just before 8am.

Investigators have been told the offender exited his vehicle and punched the victim to the face while he was seated in his silver Holden Captiva.

The 45-year-old Berwick man sustained facial injuries as a result of the assault.

The offending man is perceived to be of Pacific Islander appearance, with a solid build, about 30-years-old and was wearing a hi-vis yellow top.

He was driving a dark coloured SUV which was last seen driving south along the Berwick Cranbourne Road.
