Upcoming works on notorious road

Site investigation works are underway to upgrade one of Casey’s most notorious roads.

Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road is getting an upgrade as part of Victoria’s Big Build, with an extra lane added between Thompsons Road and the South Gippsland Highway, upgrades to intersections and construction of new walking and cycling paths.

Site investigations have commenced to help workers understand ground conditions and locate underground utilities prior to commencing construction in early 2022.

Lane and shoulder closures are expected along with speed reductions between Thompsons Road and the South Gippsland Highway.

Motorists are advised to follow on-road signage and traffic controllers’ instructions, and allow extra time for their journey.

All works are following strict COVIDSafe plans.
