The Cranbourne Document Signing Station has been relocated to Balla Balla Community Centre.

Anyone who needs documents signed by a Justice of the Peace can now visit the dedicated volunteers at the centre.

Signing times are Monday to Friday, 12pm to 3pm, and Tuesdays 3pm to 6pm.

No appointment is necessary.

Justices can witness legal documents like wills, affidavits, powers of attorney and statutory declarations, and certify true copies of documents.

Since reopening to the public on 18 January, the volunteers have signed around 6000 documents.

During the Covid pandemic, with police station reception desks closed, Cranbourne’s Justices of the Peace continued to sign and witness documents via appointment, ensuring the continuation of the vital service.

Peter Hooper, president of the Cranbourne Justices of the Peace Group, said the move to Balla Balla Community Centre means residents of Cranbourne are able to have documents signed in a Covid-safe situation.
