Two hospitalised after house fire

Two people have been taken to hospital – including one airlifted – following a house fire in Cranbourne West on Wednesday morning, 2 September.

Emergency crews were called to the Scarborough Avenue property about 8.30am, to numerous triple-zero reports of a house being fully engulfed in flames.

A woman in her 20s was flown by air ambulance helicopter to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition with upper body injuries while a woman in her 60s was transported by road ambulance to The Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

Two FRV appliances and one command unit also attended the scene within six minutes, and were support by a number of CFA crews.
