Three staff test positive

Three workers at a Cranbourne North Woolworths store have tested positive for coronavirus.

The staff members at the Thompson Parkway Shopping Centre were present at the store on Saturday 25 July from 4pm to 7pm, Sunday 26 July from 4pm to 9pm and Wednesday 5 August from 3.55pm to 7.05pm.

In a statement on the Thompson Parkway Shopping Centre website, Woolworths has been working directly with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) since being told of the positive cases and is following the expert advice of the department’s health officials.

“As a result, they have notified all staff members who have been in close contact with the individuals to get tested and self-isolate. The Woolworths store closed immediately following the first test confirmation for a deep clean overnight on Thursday 6 August and has since re-opened,” the statement read.

“We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our customers, retailers and entire community is our priority and we are continuing to monitor and act upon recommendations from our Federal and State Health Departments.

Anyone who may have visited Thompson Parkway Shopping Centre since Saturday 25 July and has become unwell in the next two weeks are urged to contact the Department of Health hotline on 1800 020 080.
