Not even shivering conditions was going to stop five-year-old Emmett from making the most to the start to his school holidays.
Clad in his winter woollies and boots, Emmett of Frankston happily wandered the frost-laden grounds of Pearcedale’s Moonlit Sanctuary on Monday morning, 29 June.
Star News photographer Stewart Chambers captured the youngster beaming with a smile as he fed a Kangaroo Island kangaroo – despite the temperature dipping to 2.2 degrees.
The popular sanctuary reopened on 1 June which has seen many visitors stream through its doors while adhering to social distancing.
Sanctuary director Michael Johnson said he was thrilled to welcome visitors again.
“We’ve seen a lot of people come through which we’re very grateful for,” he said.
“People are well spaced out and that’s been great to see.”
