A man and a woman have been charged after police seized more than 280 cannabis plants at a Clyde North factory on Wednesday 24 June.
Officers allegedly located a sophisticated hydroponic setup with custom made rooms after raiding the Rainer Crescent property.
As officers from the Southern Division 3 Divisional Response Unit were executing the drugs search warrant and processing the scene a 28-year-old St Albans man and a 26-year-old Box Hill woman attended the factory, police say.
“They were promptly arrested and charged with numerous drug offences including cultivate, traffic and possess a commercial quantity of cannabis and theft,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
The pair have been remanded to face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 June.
