A 25-year-old man has allegedly been caught speeding and drug driving in Junction Village on Friday 5 June.
Casey Highway Patrol intercepted his Holden Commodore sedan at 8.50pm on the South Gippsland Highway where he tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis, police say.
The driver was allegedly travelling at 103km/h in an 80km/h zone.
“The vehicle was observed doing a U-turn and intentionally losing traction, before being intercepted,” according to police.
Police also say the driver from Sandhurst failed to have an interlock fitted to the vehicle as per their licence conditions.
The man has been charged with exceed prescribed concentration of drugs, fail oral fluid test, speeding, careless driving – improper use, and fail to have an interlock fitted to vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded and the man will face a magistrate at a later date.
