Car slams into house

A young Cranbourne West are lucky to have escape injury after a car crashed into a wall of their bedroom on Sunday evening, 8 June.

Emergency services were called to the Strathlea Drive home about 6.20pm where the car had soared a side timber fence.Remarkably, no one was injured during the incident.


A Victoria Police spokesperson said “This appears car into house with nil serious injury, just some structural damage”, but did not elaborate on the circumstances of the crash or whether the male driver, who also emerged from the car unscathed, would face charges.

According to Narre Warren SES crew leader Andrew Gill, a young couple who were in their home at the time of the incident had been left in shock.

Mr Gill said firefighters were also in attendance as the car had struck a gas meter.

A picture of the crash showed a Toyota sedan with red P plates displayed on the front and rear windows – with minor damage to the front.Mr Gill said the car caused some minor damage but was assessed as “not structurally significant” by a Casey Council engineer.

SES crews temporarily secured the side gate and cordoned off the area with tape before a tow truck towed the vehicle away.
