Speedster caught

Casey Highway Patrol have caught a man speeding more than 50 kilometres above the speed limit on the Monash Freeway on Saturday the 21 March.

Police clocked the small SUV allegedly travelling at 157km/h in an 100km/h zone about 2.55am.

The vehicle at the time was being used for ride sharing services with two clients on board.

The driver, a man in his 50s, had his vehicle impounded for 30 days and had to call for another ride sharing service to collect him.

He is expected to be charged with speeding matters and will attend court at a later date.
