Family-fun at school

Families have enjoyed a day out with students at Cranbourne Park Primary School on Friday 6 March.

Parents and caregivers refused to let the wet weather put a dampener on their day as they joined students in a range of activities, run by the Grade 6 leaders.

The annual family-fun afternoon included obstacle courses, egg and spoon type races and ‘rob the nest’ games.

The students also teamed up with a ‘buddy’ from class, giving them the chance to broaden their social networks, Grade 1/2 teacher Carly Camilleri said.

Mrs Camilleri, who organised the afternoon’s event, said she was pleased with the family turnout.

“It was great to see so many parents and grandparents coming to cheer on their children, with many joining in the activities,” she said.

“We see the afternoon as a great opportunity for families to connect with their children, with other families and the wider school community, as we acknowledge and celebrate the importance of our entire school community.”
