Off-duty officer caught drink driving

An off-duty police officer has been detected allegedly drink driving in Warneet on Tuesday evening, 25 February.

The male Senior Sergeant from the Southern Metro Region was tested at an alcohol and drug testing site on Warneet Road about 8pm.

Police say he allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading 0.055.

The officer lost his licence and has been disqualified for three months.

He was also issued with a $496 infringement notice for drink driving.

Professional Standards Command has been notified as per standard procedure.
