Witness appeal following Lyndhurst crash

Casey Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle crash in Lyndhurst on Saturday, 15 February.

Investigators have been told a blue 2004 Ford Falcon with large rear wheels was travelling east along Thompson Road when it lost control about 7.30pm.

“The car lost traction on the roadway for about 38 meters before crashing into a barrier and returning to the road,” Senior Constable Adam West said.

The driver fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival and left the car obstructing traffic.

Police wish to speak to anyone who saw the distinctive Ford prior to or during the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, with information or dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
