Man dies following collision

A man has died in hospital after a two-car collision in Tarwin last month which also resulted in a Pearcedale woman being taken to hospital.

The collision occurred between a Landrover ute and a Honda Jazz sedan at the intersection of Tarwin Lower Road and the South Gippsland Highway about 3.35pm on 27 January.

The male driver of the Landrover, a 50-year-old Pearcedale man, was uninjured while his passenger, a 50-year-old Pearcedale woman, was taken to hospital for observation.

The male driver of the Honda, a 22-year-old Chinese national, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

His female passenger, a 26-year-old Chinese national, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Sadly, the driver of the Honda passed away in hospital on Monday 10 February.
