Speed a factor in crash

Police are appealing for any witnesses or dashcam footage following a collision in Lynbrook on Saturday 11 January.

Police believe a Nissan X- Trail with Western Australian plates had been travelling south along South Gippsland Highway from the Dandenong Bypass when it collided with a blue Toyota Corolla about 7.15 am on the South Gippsland Highway and Lynbrook Boulevard.

“It is believed the vehicle was being driven erratically and possibly at speed when it collided,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man in his 30s was treated for pelvic and foot injuries and taken to the Aflred Hospital in a stable condition while a woman in her 40s was treated for upper body injuries and taken to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 or the Casey Police Service Area Eyewatch Facebook page with reference LSC/ 26036.
