Police have charged a man with sexual assault of a 22-year-old Hampton Park woman which allegedly occurred in Dandenong on Tuesday 15 October.
The 21-year-old Chadstone man was charged with sexual assault, assault with intent to commit a sexual assault, sexual activity directed at another person, sexual exposure and commit indictable offence while on bail in relation to an alleged sexual assault in a Cleeland Street carpark about 1.20pm.
However, Dandenong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for witnesses or footage following the incident.
The 22-year-old Hampton Park woman was not physically injured during the incident.
The Chadstone man will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 25 October.
Detectives are urging anyone who may have been in the carpark at the time, or driving in the area with dashcam footage, to come forward.
