Enrolment is already underway at Grayling Primary School with students and their families taking up the opportunity to meet the principal of Clyde North’s newest school.

Grayling Primary, which was originally known by its interim name of Clyde North East Primary School, will be headed by principal Luke Abdallah.

At a recent ‘meet the principal’ evening, families had the opportunity to meet principal Abdallah and his teaching team, ask questions, check out the uniforms and enrol their children for Term 1 2020.

The newly established school already has 130 students enrolled from prep to year 6, living up to its motto of ‘proud and connected’.

The name Grayling is a tribute to the Australian Grayling, a nationally threatened fish species known to occur locally in the Cardinia Creek that is close to the school.

Bass MP Jordan Crugnale said the school will open its doors again prior to the start of term so everyone can familiarise themselves with the new building and check out the classrooms, gymnasium and open space areas.

“It was wonderful to meet Luke Abdallah and his team who are so energised and ready to start delivering quality education, programs and activities for all students to be their best,” Ms Crugnale said.
