Passenger charged following fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal two car collision involving an allegedly stolen car in Cranbourne on Sunday 11 August.

An 18-year-old Baxter man has been charged with one count of theft of motor vehicle.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old Frankston man, remains in hospital under police guard.

Two of the four passengers in the allegedly stolen vehicle, an 18-year-old Cranbourne woman and a 16-year-old Frankston boy, died at the scene.

A 17-year-old Frankston North girl who was also a passenger remains in hospital.

The Baxter man will appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
