House goes up in flames

Firefighters were called to a vacant house fire in Cranbourne North on Monday 29 July.

The fire broke out at the single-storey weatherboard home on Endeavour Drive about 5am and crews arrived shortly after.

About 15 firefighters from Cranbourne and Narre Warren brigades attended with the support of Bayswater breathing apparatus van.

The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes.

The house was destroyed except for the back end and investigators are yet to determine the cause of the fire.

Cranbourne CFA station officer Ugur Ali confirmed there were no injuries and a smoke warning was issued for Cranbourne North, Lyndhurst, and Lynbrook.

Police, ambulance and a power company were also called.
